Through the Radio Aporee Global Sound Map ( http://aporee.org/maps/) we have started uploading our initial sound recordings from our walks along the River Suir. These sounds are embedded in Google Maps so exact locations of where the sound recordings have been made can be pin pointed.

Through using the Geo Mixing Mode tool on the Aporee Website you can trace and simultaneously play our different sound recordings along the River Suir to create a soundscape of the river. As the project develops we will be inviting participants to upload their own sound recordings to the map. At present we are researching ways to develop this aspect of the project. Through workshops with the river communities we will respond to these sound recordings through mark making workshops. The sounds will travel up and down the River Suir like a wave of experience as the multi-local communities respond to each others sounds and visuals all the time following the route of the river.
